The Screening Center

The Screening Center at the KIT and the Institute of Toxicology and Genetics (ITG) is equipped to perform high-throughput and high-content in vitro and in vivo screens. The focus is in studying morphology and behavior in the context of toxicity investigations and large-scale compound screening and in establishing integrative platforms to rapidly acquire and assess these phenotypes. We are connected to the European Zebrafish Resource Center (EZRC: http://www.ezrc.kit.edu/index.php) and therefore have access to a large collection of wild type and transgenic zebrafish and Medaka lines for whole organism screening. Furthermore, we have in-house bio- and chemo-informatics support.
